"I want to tell a story. The story of life and nature. Not only to others but aswell to myself. And the best way for me to tell this, is with paint and paper, ... through my art. This story is about the 'circle of life', where we, like animals and plants, are part of. Anyone understands the essence of a circle, it works best if it remains unbroken. As humans, we have an essential task in this circle. The task of conservation ' 'I hope that my art, helps people to realize in what a wonderful world we live in. And especially that we have to make an effort to preserve it’ Renso Tamse, geboren en getogen in Rotterdam, was al op vroege leeftijd aan het tekenen en schilderen. Vanaf hij zich kan heugen wilde hij 'tekenaar' worden’ Zijn interesse ging vooral uit naar de natuur. Na nog geen jaar aan de academie voor beeldende kunsten te Rotterdam wilde hij zijn eigen weg gaan. De abstractie en moderne kunst had niet zijn interesse. Zijn voorkeur ging uit naar de realistische schilderkunst. Renso wil niets liever dan wilde, geheimzinnige natuurlandschappen schilderen en de dieren die daar in thuishoren. Om op deze manier zijn verhaal te vertellen. Het werk is steeds vaker conceptueel en heeft meerdere lagen in betekenis, en gaat altijd over emotie. Voor de nodige inspiratie reist hij regelmatig de wereld over op zoek naar mooie gebieden om zich te verliezen in verwonderingen.
